About artist:
Hanna Bakuła - not only a well-known painter - honoured by the Polish Ministry of Culture - graduate of Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts - but also a popular writer and columnist, exhibited her paintings in prestigious galleries in Poland, Europe and USA.
In New York, she lived eight years where she painted and designed stage sets and costumes. She was awarded a number of prizes, among others IREX scholarship by recommendation of Guggenheim Foundation.
She authored nine books, of which two novels became bestselling books in Poland. She is a celebrity, popular in Polish media, established columnist of the Playboy Magazine and Dziennik Łódzki, sometimes nicknamed the female Witkacy. She paints portraits of known and unknown personalities.
She excels in different artistic media - she paints, designs ceramic sculptures, jewelry and weird compositions.
